35 lbs. and getting bigger...

Ok, I know it's been a long time. Here's a few images, and videos, from the past few months...

This battery operated Bouncing Ball only kept him busy for a few weeks. This ball is no longer in existence. Bruno chewed all the nobs off. Funny thing, this "Dog" toy warns not to be used as a chew toy...someone help me out with this one.

And who can keep away from Puppybowl? Patriots who? I think we were more excited watching the Lab take on the Shih Tzu.

And this is what happens when UK loses in the first round of the NCAA Tournament...blah!

It's ok, we're rooting for those Hilltoppers!!!

Have a good day everyone!

20lbs of Love!

We had another Vet visit this past weekend, and Bruno's up to 20lbs. and 16" tall, at 15 weeks old. We had to go to the pet store and get some new bones, so we got him this huge bone, 3/4 his size! He was eating up those smaller bones too quickly, so this should slow him down.

We also went to the large dog side of the dog park yesterday. He started picking on two other Boxer puppies, 9 weeks old, that were the same size as him! Bruno No! He did much better than a few weeks ago. He's doing ok on coming when we call. However, if there's a kid, forget it. He's off to play!

Not much else to report, other than he misses the fam and hopes to see them soon!

Bruno vs. Boston

And they're off! Bruno's tactics are the spin move and right hook, while Boston's, the Puggle, moves were to go for the jugular! The match was perfect, perfect size and energy between Boston and Bruno. Though Boston is full grown, he's only a year old. We were two of three dogs to brave the cold wind, at the dog park on Saturday.

Lot's of fun!

He's growing, he's growing...

At our last Vet visit Bruno was 14.2lbs and 14" tall, at 14 weeks now. So he's definitely growing. He's still a vicious biter, but I hope this trait goes away with age. We've been going to the dog park every weekend to terrorize the other small dogs and children. We tried out the big dog area last week, and Bruno soon realized jumping on every dog isn't a great idea. He preferred the small park, so we went back. We'll try again next month.

He still has worms, but we're hoping that we're at the tail end of this experience...ha, ha. If anyone has any suggestions, all are welcome!

Some friends of ours gave us a battery operated bouncy ball for Bruno. He loves it. He's so smart that he knows how to turn it on and off! Well, I'm not sure if he really knows or if during random chewing he pulls or pushes the button. It's a great way for him to let out that chewing energy on the ball rather than our hands, arms, feet, etc. I'll try to remember to get some good footage of this, quite funny, really.

He's also started to lift his leg while waiting for a treat (as shown in the image.) And then he swats at the treat. I guess this is the boxer trait. We're trying to get him to only so this when we ask for his paw, or shake.

That's it for now. Have a great day!

So where did all the attention go?

So, Christmas was exciting and new for Bruno. He met more people that can spoil him rotten, in a good way of course! He had a lot of fun spending time with Grandma & Grandpa McCombs, Aunt Les and Aunt Linda, also Gr-Gramps and Gr-Grams Kline. He was a little depressed the other night, because there weren't as many people around to spoil him. Yep, it's back to Mum and Dad on the marquee. He really misses Grams and Gramps!

He has the potty training thing down. Only a few accidents over the break, that wind is very scary! I think he's gotten bigger over the holiday; his back feet are finally catching up with his front paws. He got many, many new toys for the holiday, though he still wants my pant leg and slippers, dirty rascal!

Attack of the worms!! He had the worms coming out of him the whole vacation, and they are still coming. Not as much as during the weekend though. Our next Vet trip is this Monday. Hopefully, he'll be finished with them soon. I can't believe there are so many!

Well, that's all for now. Have a great New Years Eve, be safe. See ya next year!
